- Install Windows
2000
drivers from Canon
- Download the
program,
unzip and execute it (as administrator)
- Turn on the printer
- Reboot the PC and
log
on as administrator to complete the installation
Instructions for
CanonSetup
- Execute CanonSetup
when you have to set special printing preferences
- CanonSetup
will
ask which one is your BJC 5000 or 5100 printer among those installed on
your system
- Then it will
minimize
in the system tray (close to Windows' clock)
- Activate and
deactivate CanonSetup by double clicking on the icon in the
system tray
- CanonSetup must be
used instead of the "Printer Preferences" panel provided by Windows XP
